This year's model

It seems every year we "adopt" a racoon as our special friend.

You may remember "Babe" from last year.  (Babe can be seen on You-tube if you take a peek at the corimtnest postings.)

This years friend is "Three legged Joe". Joe doesn't seem to have the use of his left front paw.  He scoots around on three legs but can climb trees and seems to be doing OK.

He travels alone and often comes to the door in the morning for breakfast and then again for an early dinner.

The extremly harsh (for us anyway) winter seems to have thinned our racoon population.  The most we've seen this spring is 4 in one night.

Last yeat we had up to 15 on a regular basis.
